Fulanis Are The First People To Settle In Southern Kaduna – Miyetti Allah Insisted

Published

on

The Director, Media and Publicity of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACAN), Kaduna branch, Ibrahim Bayero Zango has reacted to the incessant killings going on in the southern part of Kaduna, Daily Times Nigeria reports.

In an interview with The Nations, he revealed that the people of Southern Kaduna are being attacked as a result of religious, political tribal and land disputes.

He also insinuated that the strife was between the Katafs, who are claiming ownership of the land and the Hausa/Fulani indigenes, who believe they lived in Southern Kaduna before other tribes settled in.
Zango stated, “No single tribe in Southern Kaduna is more indigenous than us.

“It is those tribal and religious fanatics that are describing the Hausa/Fulani of Southern Kaduna as settlers.

“The entire land of the area belongs to the people of Southern Kaduna of which we are part of.”

Furthermore, he noted, “No one can deny the fact that Hausa/Fulanis are among the indigenous tribes of the Southern Kaduna. All the tribes in Southern Kaduna are immigrants. They were not there before us.

“Our forefathers had lived in Kaduna for more than three centuries. They were there before the Jihad,” he said.
Hence, he stated that no tribe had the right to claim Southern Kaduna as theirs.

To futher prove the Hausa /Fulani as indegenious owners of the land, he stated, “We are not strangers or settlers as the Kataf and other tribes will want people to believe. For instance, the oldest towns or communities like Kajuru, Kaceccere, Zango Town, Matsirga, Kafanchan belong to the Hausa/Fulani.

“Even communities like Tashan Daji, Dutsen Bako, Zankuwa, Kagarko, Jere, Janjala, Tafa, Walijo, Maraban Walijo, Gumel, Ungwan Rimi among others occupied by the Christians today initially belonged to Hausa/Fulani.

“As a result of sectarian crises, the Hausa/Fulani were forced out of these communities and they have been taken over by the Christians,” he noted.

Zango continued, “After taking over the communities, they have renamed them. For example, they have renamed Tashan Daji as KamuruIkulu and Ungwan Rimi is now called Ungwan Rimi Bajju.
“To prove to you that the Hausa/Fulani are indigenes, the oldest traditional institution in the area which is Jama’a Emirate belongs to the Hausa/Fulani.

“That is why we have the Emir of Jama’a as the oldest traditional title in Southern Kaduna. The emirate belongs to Hausa/Fulani. Besides, the Chief of Tsam chiefdom is a Muslim, the Chief of Kauru is a Muslim, the Chief of Ayu is a Muslim, the Chief of Kagarko is a Muslim and the Chief of Jere is a Muslim.

“The Emir of Kajuru is a Muslim. So, there are some many communities and towns and emirates that belong to Hausas and Fulanis Muslims in Southern Kaduna.

Moreover on the bandits killing people in the region, he blamed the gruesome act on the Kataf religious fanatics, while exonerating the Fulanis.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeder Association head stated, “the Hausa/Fulani Muslims were killed in June by Kataf religious fanatics, following a dispute on a piece of land between the Hausas of Zango town and Kataf community.

“We lost many Muslims in the attack. I can show you pictures of their corpses and where they were buried.
“Up till now, they have not told us the reason for killing innocent Fulani nomads.

“Why then are the Fulani being accused of killing people? After all, our people were attacked and forced out of the area. If they can fight and kill why did they run away?
Similarly, speaking on the political point of view of dispute, he stated, the Kataf and other tribes in Southern Kaduna are supporters of the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Most of the Hausa/ Fulani population in Southern Kaduna has sympathy for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
“That is why people look at issues from a political or religious point of view,” he opined.

Also referring to the religious stand point, he emphasized, the Kataf don’t see anything good in the administration of Governor Nasir El-Rufai simply because he is a Fulani man.

“They just attack our people for what I will describe as a transfer of aggression.

“Again, these people are mostly Christians. While we are Muslims. They don’t want to have anything to do with Muslims.

  1. “I don’t know why we should allow religion to divide us, he lamented.

Why We Are Deploying Miyetti Allah Vigilantee All Over Nigeria – Abdullahi Bodejo

Published

on

The National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has said that cattle rustlings and incessant attacks by their members led to the formation of its security outfit, Miyetti Allah Vigilance group, which will operate all over the country. Speaking with VINCENT KALU after the outfit was launched July 27, the leader of the Fulani Socio-Cultural Association stressed that no opposition can stop its operations in any part of the country.

The launching of the Miyetti Allah Vigilance group has not gone down well with other geo-political zones, as they argue that your security outfit should be confined to your region, the north and not all over the country.

We launched the Miyetti Allah Vigilance group on July 27, and we started with 1000 personnel, who are still undergoing training with Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN). You know Fulani people are moving; moving to those arrears where there are grasses. Any place where there is grass, they will operate there to see how they can feed their cows.

So everywhere they are, the vigilante is supposed to be there, that is why our vigilante will be everywhere in the country because of these cattle rustlers and they will be the ones to make peace in the event of problem between the herdsmen and farmers. That is the reason they will be operating every part of the country. Amotekun of Southwest is just saying its own. If they want to do security to fight crimes, what is their problem with our own vigilante? Let them concentrate on what they are doing. Our vigilante is the same thing with Amotekun, but the only difference is that ours is all over the country, while Amotekun is in the Southwest.

Yoruba are all over the country, but they didn’t set up Amotekun in every state of the federation

That one concerns them. If they are all over the country; they are not operating in the bushes and forests. For the Fulani, their business and all what they are doing is their cows. But if you can see Yoruba man or a person from any other tribe, who can carry N1O million cash in transparent bag and move from Lagos to Adamawa, or from Lagos to Ibadan, that person can be attacked by armed robbers or other criminals who can even kill him.

The same way with the Fulani; they are moving with their money in transparent bags, which are the cows.  So, the cow is like bank to them. If you build bank, you must fence it to secure  it, but if you build bank  and you put money there without fencing the building, do you think you can go there tomorrow and meet the money? Thieves will go and steal the money by force. So, that is the reason Fulani are having problems of securing their cows because no one is protecting the cows (which is their money in transparent bag). So, our vigilante group has to operate very well because of the level of insecurity in this country; cattle rustlers, kidnapping, bandits are operating inside bushes and forests.

Once I Command Herdsmen To Attack Igbo Land, The Whole South East Will Be On Fire – Miyetti Allah

Published

The Miyetti Allah, yesterday expressed their anger over the attack on herdsmenin Benue and Ebonyi.

-The leader also expressed shock over the decision of the South East governors not accepting grazing in the zone even in this hard time.
– He threatened to order herdsmen to invade and defend themselves if the attacks continue.

Leader of the group, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, in a statement today in Awka, said the decision was surprising to them considering the cordial relationship that had existed in the zone between the group and the five state government.

In addition, he expressed his anger over the attack on cattle breeders in Ebonyi state last week. Which according to them, they werea accusing the herdsmen to be responsible for the recent attack that took place in Ebonyi state around March this year in a clan known as NGBO of Ohaukwu local government of Ebonyi state.

This report has been confirmed by miyetti Allah, and he believe herdsmen in south east are peaceful people, we have no business in killing as our work is to ensure availability of meat in Nigeria.

I was so disappointed on hearing that the Igbo governors have decided to stop our activities in some south eastern region claiming they are fighting the pandemic.

Is the pandemic also the reasons why alamajiri are being sent back to north by south east governors? The same thing has also happened in Benue and Rivers state, all in the name of fighting pandemic.

If they are truly fighting the pandemic, why was herdsmen attacked in a community in Ikwo recently and even in the middle belt, four herdsmen were killed last week by TIV farmers in Benue accusing them of being armed to attack them
This reports are becoming unbearable for entire miyetti Allah and if nothing is done to change this decision, we have no other option than to order herdsmen to invade and defend themselves by all means.
